Desire Always Comes First

If you want to achieve something, there is something you have to have, desire. You must focus on your desire, simply what you want to be/do? Without having a desire, probably you would see yourself the same, exactly the same in ten years, even twenty years, you know what you would probably never see a bit of change, meaning “NO GROWTH” at all. I have many friends in Japan wanting to change for a better life or stay away from employment and become independent. They got a desire to do something, that is great!! but what they do after work is, they go to bar every night with colleagues and talk about it. I was with them ten years ago and they still do the same things even today, probably they would be doing the same things in next ten years. They love talking about it. It is fun but their actions never happen.  However, for some people who decided to go after their dream or goal. They make a strong decision and commit it with a desire to be something valuable. It is a life change event.

I believe that there are two different types of change in our lives. One is Self-made change and one is Forceful-change. What is forceful-change? You probably see that most people surround you never figure out what they want to do. They go to school and trying to figure out what they want to do in the future.  Usually, it ends up with a jack-of-all-trades, switching a job after another with the hope that ” this time is okay I am going to be successful, uh huh..rarely.  Without decent income, they would more likely be stuck in make-ends-meet lifestyle to pay bills and on top of that, things get worse after marriage and having children. Now they cannot even make ends meet so drawing in debt. Truth, their option get narrower and narrower as times goes. It is not a preferable change. I did talk to many successful people and going through many attempts of failures in my life.  Then I found the pattern among those successful people. They have a strong desire to be Master-of-One. Before they pursue their career, they make a decision and they commit to it. Of course, they would enjoy what they do on their way to become successful but trust me, it is not always fun as you may think.  Have you noticed? Many successful people do multiple things and getting multiple incomes, well truth is that they started focusing on one thing first and achieve the time-freedom with enough money to expand their desires. Be a Master of One with ONE strong desire. Tell yourself that this is my thing and never give up until I achieve it.
