I know many people want more and achieve many things in life hoping to fulfill their worthiness. People become a jack of all trades and try to be good at everything. One thing I learned and being convinced, master of one is far more superior and productive than being a jack of all trades because they would end up diluting their focus and losing motivation by doing multiple things. The results are almost always halfway through anyway. I firmly believe that one is good enough to accomplish your dream.
If you do not know what you are doing, you would probably diversify your portfolio. Of course, that's what guru investors do. Warren Buffet, Bill Gates, and other successful entrepreneurs recommend you to do. However, If you know exactly what you are doing, my ultimate conclusion is that it is not necessary to diversify a portfolio at all. It is far more effective to increase your $1000 up to $100,000. $10,000 up to $1 million in a short period of time with all in one basket. Again, you need to know exactly what you are doing though. Of course, to maintain your portfolio less volatile and protect it from any uncertainties, diversification is far more effective.
I look for years to find the best stock that I can put all my money in at the right time. One stock out of thousands is good enough to become very successful. One business is enough to keep you creative and take you to financial freedom. One family is more than enough to provide you comfort. One friend is always there for you to support you when you need. One good job gives you the security to maintain your lifestyle. And, One fine woman can become the purpose of your life to live happily the rest of your life.
